With the Taxfix app, you can easily record your public pension income in your tax return. However, we cannot currently cover private pensions.
What pension income does Taxfix support?
With Taxfix, you can record your public pension income (gesetzliche Renteneinkünfte) in your tax return. These are pensions that are paid to you by the German pension insurance (Deutsche Rentenversicherung), the agricultural pension fund (Landwirtschaftliche Alterskasse), a professional pension plan (Berufsständische Versorgungseinrichtung) or as a Rürup pension.
In addition to old-age pensions, these may include occupational disability pensions (Erwerbsminderungsrente, Berufsunfähigkeitsrente) or survivors' pensions (orphans', widows'/widowers' and education pensions).
🚨 Important
If you have been granted an opening clause (Öffnungsklausel) by the public pension insurance, you can unfortunately not yet use Taxfix.
Which pension income can Taxfix not yet cover?
Unfortunately, private pension income and pensions for civil servants (Beamtenpension) cannot yet be reported in the Taxfix app.
This includes pension income from:
- Private pension insurances
- Supplementary pension funds or the VBL
- Pension funds or the Pensionskasse
- A Riester pension
- Foreign pension insurance
- A company pension scheme (Betriebliche Altersvorsorge)
- The former employer
We strive to cover private pension income in the Taxfix app as well. However, the development effort is difficult to estimate. Therefore, we unfortunately cannot yet say when it will be possible to process these tax cases with Taxfix. We are sorry if you are affected by this.
