How does the Expert Service work?
A certified tax advisor prepares your tax return based on the information you provide and uploads it to the Taxfix app. You can review it and confirm it in time with a single click β the deadline is shown in the app.
Only after your confirmation can the return be submitted electronically to the tax office.
When is the fee due?
The fee for the Expert Service becomes due after the tax office has issued your tax assessment β or at the latest 150 days after the expert has completed the tax return, whichever comes first.
How much is the fee exactly?
The amount of the fee depends on the result of your tax return:
- If you receive a refund from the tax office, you pay 20% of the refund amount, provided it is more than β¬99.99.
- In all cases, you pay at least β¬99.99, even if your result is zero or you owe tax.
π This means: You also pay the fee if you donβt receive a refund from the tax office.
Fee Overview at a Glance
Tax Result | Fee |
---|---|
Refund over β¬99.99 | 20% of the refund amount |
Refund of β¬99.99 or less | β¬99.99 |
No refund (zero result) | β¬99.99 |
Payment to the tax office required | β¬99.99 |
βΉοΈ Note: The minimum fee of β¬99.99 always applies if your refund is β¬99.99 or less, if it is zero, or if you have to make a payment to the tax office.
What happens if you owe tax or get no refund?
Even if you donβt get a refund β or if you have to pay taxes β the minimum fee of β¬99.99 still applies.
What happens if you donβt confirm your return in time?
If you donβt confirm the tax return prepared by your tax advisor in time via the app, it cannot be submitted to the tax office.
Since you already gave binding consent to the Expert Service and the advisor fully completed the service, a fee will still be charged β based on the estimated refund shown to you in the app.
What happens if your tax assessment is delayed?
If the tax office does not issue your assessment within 150 days, the fee will also be calculated based on the estimated tax result.
π‘ So you can use the Expert Service with peace of mind β just make sure to confirm your return in time.
