In principle, it is no longer possible to subsequently amend a return that has already been sent to the tax office. Think of it as if you had sent the declaration by post - once the declaration is in your letterbox, you can no longer make any changes.
However, there is one possibility 🤓
The tax office always processes the last tax return received for a tax year as long as it has not yet started processing it. We can therefore reset your tax return in the app so that you can make the desired changes and resubmit the tax return.
How does the reset of my tax return work?
We need a brief email from you so that we can unlock and reset your tax return for you and you can make any subsequent changes. As soon as we have activated your return for you, we will of course inform you. Then you can get started! 🚀
How can I continue editing my reseted tax return?
To make changes, simply open the app, click on the relevant tax year and enter your correct data.

No. To reset your tax return, please send us a brief e-mail.
How long will it take for my tax return to be unlocked?
Unfortunately, we cannot tell you exactly if and when processing has already started at the tax office. As soon as this is the case, it will not consider the newly reseted tax return. You can then appeal against the tax statement (Steuerbescheid).
Our recommendation: If you wish to reset your tax return, you should let us know immediately after your first submission. The quicker you are, the more likely it is that the tax office will receive and consider your "corrected tax return".
Of course, we cannot guarantee this, as we have no influence on the speed at which the tax office works.
How long does it take for my tax return to be reseted?
As soon as we receive your message requesting the reset, we will process it as quickly as possible. Of course, we will also inform you by e-mail. We ask for your understanding that this may occasionally take longer, as we always receive many requests.
Does the reset of my tax return cost anything?
This change is of course free of charge, as you only ever pay once per tax year with Taxfix. You will not be charged again.
