With the one-time password, we increase the security of your Taxfix account and the protection of your data. This security method is also known as OTP (One-Time Password).
You receive a new password every time you log in, which you can only use once.
This is how it works:
- Open your Taxfix account
- Enter your email address and click on the "Continue" button. If you have already done this registration procedure once, your email will appear automatically. In this case, simply log in.
- You will then receive a 6-digit code by email.
- Go to your email inbox and copy your code
- Enter the code in your Taxfix account. The overview of the tax years will then appear as usual 🥳

No, you can only use the 6-digit code once. You will only receive this by email.
How long is the 6-digit one-time password valid for?
The code expires within 3 minutes. If you want to log in after these 3 minutes, go to Taxfix again and click on the "Request new code" button.
What do I do if I make a mistake when entering the code?
In this case, click on the "Request new code" button again so that you receive a new 6-digit code by email.
How many attempts do I have with the OTP procedure?
You can carry out the steps explained above 3 times. After 3 failed login attempts, your Taxfix account is automatically blocked.
What do I have to do to get a code to recover my account?
As soon as your account is blocked, you will automatically be sent an email with a code to recover it - this is your recovery code! Enter this code in the Taxfix app to restore your account and continue. Your recovery code is valid for 3 minutes.
I have recovered my account. Why do I get a one-time password again?
💡After you have unlocked your account, you will automatically receive a new code - this time for logging in.
Please enter your new one-time password in your Taxfix account so that you can log in successfully and securely.
Why can't I get either the one-time password or the recovery code?
All codes and passwords are always sent to the email address stored in your Taxfix account.
Can I use the autofill function on my iOS device?
Yes, you can of course use the autofill function. This means you don't have to switch to an email inbox during registration.
Do I have to use the OTP procedure if I already use facial recognition on my smartphone?
In this case, you are already authorising your login to the Taxfix app, so no password is requested.
