What payment methods are available?
We collect the fee for your tax return via SEPA direct debit from your account.
To do this, you must enter your IBAN in the Taxfix app. Other payment methods are currently not available.
When is the fee debited?
- If you prepare your tax return yourself, the fee is debited approximately 4–5 business days after submission.
- If you use the Expert Service, the fee is debited only after the tax office has processed your tax return.
Where can I enter my bank details?
You provide your bank details at the end of your tax return under "Personal Data." They are not permanently stored in your Taxfix account.
Can I change my bank details later?
- Once you have entered them in your tax return, you cannot change them in the app.
- If your bank details have changed after submission, you must inform the tax office directly (contact details can be found in the app under "Contact tax office").
Here’s a template to quickly and easily inform your tax office about your new bank details.
What if a payment fails?
If the payment fails, you will receive an email with bank transfer details. You can then manually transfer the amount. If you need help, please contact our support team.
Payment options: Pay now & Pay later
Pay now:
- The fee is debited immediately upon submitting your tax return via SEPA direct debit.
- The fee is debited only once your tax assessment is finalized.
- If the tax office takes longer than 150 days, the fee is automatically debited, even if your tax assessment is not yet completed.
⚠️ The Taxfix fee may be debited before you receive your tax refund. If you haven't received any updates from the tax office for a long time, contact them directly.
Duplicate charges: What to do?
If you notice two debits, possible reasons include:
- You registered with two different email addresses.
- You deleted and recreated your account, then resubmitted your tax return.
⚠️ Do not initiate chargebacks! If something is incorrect, please contact the Taxfix support team directly.
