Entered incorrect information? Here’s how to start over
Sometimes mistakes happen—an entry in your tax return is incorrect, or something gets mixed up. In the Taxfix app, you can delete all entered data for a tax year and start fresh.
How do I delete my answers?
- Open the desired tax year in the Taxfix app.
- Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
- Select “Reset answers” and confirm your choice.
Good to know: Works on a computer too
💻 Using Taxfix (Webversion) on your computer? No problem – the process is exactly the same as in the app. Just log into your account, select the tax year, and click on the three dots to delete or edit your entries.
Which data will be deleted?
If you use the “Reset answers” function, all answers in all categories of the selected tax year will be deleted.
Important: Your data from other tax years and your personal account information will remain unchanged.
Can I undo the deletion?
No. Once you confirm the deletion, all entries for the tax year will be permanently removed.
Why can't I delete my answers individually?
Currently, it is not technically possible to delete only specific answers or individual categories. Once you use the “Reset answers” function, all entries for the tax year will be deleted. Afterward, you can restart your tax return completely.
What should I keep in mind?
- Deletion is only possible if your tax return has not been submitted.
- The latest version of the app should be installed on your smartphone.

Why can't I reset my answers?
⚠ If the “Reset answers” button is not displayed, check whether you are using the latest version of the Taxfix app. Updating the app can often resolve the issue.
