You have already submitted your tax return and want to make a change? Once the return has been submitted, subsequent changes are generally no longer possible β similar to a letter you have dropped into the mailbox. But there is an exception! π€
- Subsequent changes are only possible if the tax office has not yet processed the return.
- We can unlock your tax return β you can either send us an email or use our chatbot Fixi.
- After making corrections, you must resubmit your return for it to be considered.

Can I still change my tax return?
If you have not yet submitted your return to the tax office, you can simply delete your entries yourself. Find out how here: How can I delete my entries?
π‘ Good to know: The tax office always processes the most recently submitted tax return for a tax year β provided that processing has not yet begun.
π Already submitted your return? No problem! We can reset it for you. After that, you can make the necessary changes and resubmit your return.
How does resetting my tax return work?
To allow you to edit your tax return again, you have two options:
-
Contact support: Send us a short message via the contact form on our website or by email. Once weβve processed your request, weβll inform you.
-
Use our chatbot Fixi: Open your profile in the app and select Support. There youβll find the chatbot, which lets you trigger the reset directly.
How do I edit my reset tax return?
- Open your Taxfix account.
- Select the tax year.
- Correct your entries.
- Important: Resubmit your revised return! π¨
Can I reset my return myself?
No, unfortunately not. But you can either contact us by email or use our chatbot Fixi. Weβll handle the reset for you.
How long is resetting / unlocking possible?
We do not know exactly when the tax office will start processing. Once this happens, it will only consider the first submitted return. If you want to make changes afterward, you can file an objection once you receive the tax assessment notice.
π Our recommendation: If you want to revise your return, inform us immediately after submitting it for the first time. The faster you act, the higher the chances that your correction will be accepted.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee this, as the tax office follows its own schedule.
How long does the reset take?
We process your request as quickly as possible and will inform you via email. Due to the high number of inquiries, it may sometimes take a little longer. We appreciate your understanding.
Does resetting cost anything?
No, resetting is free of charge. At Taxfix, you only pay once per tax year β there will be no additional charge.
