What are tax prepayments?
Tax prepayments are regular payments to the tax office that help cover the anticipated tax liability. They are typically made by self-employed individuals, freelancers, or landlords, but can also apply in other cases.
Where do I enter my tax prepayments in the Taxfix app?
To record your tax prepayments in the Taxfix app, first open the โExpensesโ category and navigate to โNotice Detailsโ. You will be asked whether you want to enter information from a previous tax notice for the respective tax year. Select the option โTax Prepayment for the Tax Yearโ and then enter the amount you paid to the tax office during the tax year.
Important Notes
- Only self-paid prepayments can be recorded. If the tax office has directly offset any amounts with a refund, these are already reflected in the tax data.
- Other types of tax payments (e.g., VAT prepayments) are not relevant in the app.
