What Qualifies as a Household Service?
You can usually deduct the following services:

Cleaning (e.g. housekeeping help)

Gardening
-
Nursing and care services
-
Pet care
-
Snow removal
-
Handyman services (e.g. repairs, renovations)
These tasks must be performed in or around your home.
Which Costs Are Deductible?
Only the labor costs (including VAT) are deductible. Material costs are not deductible.
Important:

Make sure the invoice clearly separates labor and materials.

If needed, ask your service provider for a revised invoice showing the labor costs.
How Much Can You Deduct?
The tax office allows up to 20% of your eligible costs as a tax reduction. Annual limits vary by type of service:

Mini-job in the household: up to β¬510

Care, regular employment, and services: up to β¬4,000

Handyman services: up to β¬1,200
