The Expert Service is available to most users with residence and income exclusively in Germany.

Employees, civil servants, apprentices, students, and pensioners can use the service.

Complex cases such as self-employed individuals, landlords, or users with international income are currently excluded.

Final eligibility is checked in advance by the app.

Who Can Use the Expert Service?
In principle, the Expert Service is available to all Taxfix users residing in Germany whose tax cases fall within the supported categories.
The service is especially suitable for:

Singles and couples

Families with children
-
Employees and civil servants
-
Apprentices and students
-
Retirees and pensioners
Your tax return will be prepared and submitted to the tax office on your behalf by an independent tax advisor. You can sit back and relax while the professionals take care of everything.
Who Is Currently Not Eligible?
Some tax cases are currently too complex for digital processing and are not supported by the Expert Service:

Tax returns for self-employed individuals, freelancers, or business owners

Private pension income (e.g., Rürup pension, private life insurance)

Foreign income (e.g., salary, capital gains, or rental income abroad)

Foreign residence or dual tax liability

Rental or leasing of real estate

Support payments to adult relatives

Agricultural or forestry income reporting

Photovoltaic systems with taxable income
These cases are excluded because they require personalized tax consultation or special documentation.
How Does the App Check Eligibility?
Before you can begin using the Expert Service, the Taxfix app automatically checks whether your tax case qualifies. That means: You’ll receive immediate feedback on whether the service is available to you.
If your tax case is not currently supported, you can still prepare and submit your tax return independently using the app.
Note: The criteria for the Expert Service are continuously being expanded. So it’s worth checking back regularly.
