Our Privacy Principles
Data protection and data security are core parts of our philosophy. Taxfix adheres to all requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
How We Protect Your Data
All data you enter in the app – especially your tax information – is encrypted before it is stored. Transmission between your device and our servers is also encrypted, just like online banking.
Our IT infrastructure is continuously maintained and regularly audited by independent third parties.
How We Securely Transmit Tax Data
Your tax return is transmitted electronically to the tax office using an official, certified interface: the ELSTER interface provided by the German tax authorities.
This interface is regulated by Section 3 of the Tax Data Transmission Ordinance and ensures your information is transmitted reliably and securely.
When Your Data Is Shared
Your data is used solely for the purpose of processing your tax return. It is only transmitted to the tax office if you explicitly give your consent.
