When Is a Tax Return Worthwhile?
A tax return is typically submitted for one of these reasons:
- Mandatory filing: You’re legally required to file due to your tax class combination, receiving replacement income, etc.
- Claiming a refund: You’ve paid income tax and want to reclaim overpaid taxes
-
Loss carryforward: You had higher eligible expenses than income, for example due to continuing education
What Do Our Experts Check?
Our partner tax advisors thoroughly review all your information and documents. This includes:
- Whether you paid income tax
- Whether you had expenses or side income
- Whether there is a filing obligation
📄 Make sure to provide all relevant documents and information completely via the app.
What Happens Without Tax Payments or Deductions?
If our experts determine that:
- no income tax was paid,
- you had little or no deductible expenses,
- and there’s no loss carryforward or filing requirement,
... then your order will be cancelled as a goodwill gesture. The result would be €0 – even an expert cannot change that.
🚨 Important: Our assessment is based solely on the information you provide in the app.
Do I Still Have to Pay the Fee?
No. If your order is cancelled under these circumstances, you won’t be charged for the Expert Service.
