Why does Taxfix ask for personal data?
For the tax office to process your tax return correctly, certain personal details are required. These include your marital status, wedding date, and information about your children.
What kind of data is required?
You’re only asked for what is truly necessary. That means no unnecessary data – only the information required by the tax office's official forms. For example, if you’re married or have children, this information must be provided so benefits like joint assessment or child allowances can be applied.
How does Taxfix know which information is needed?

Our app is directly aligned with the official tax forms from the tax authorities. You’re only asked about the same things you'd be asked on those forms – nothing more, nothing less.
👉 Automatic categories based on your input
Certain categories in the app will automatically appear depending on what you enter under "About you." This way, you're only asked for information that’s actually relevant to your situation.
🤓 For example: If you state in "About you" that you have children, the "Children" category will appear. Or if you mention you were employed, the "Job" category will show up later, allowing you to add the relevant details.
😎 Retrieving tax office data with your consent
You can also – with your permission – have data pulled directly from the tax office. To do this, you request an activation code in the app, which you’ll receive by post. Once you enter this code, your saved tax office data is automatically added. This saves time and helps prevent input errors.

What happens to my data?
