How do I give the power of attorney to the expert?

Want to use the Taxfix Expert Service? To do so, you'll need to sign a power of attorney. This officially authorizes our partner tax firm to prepare and submit your tax return to the tax office on your behalf.

When and where do I grant power of attorney?

Once you’ve completed all tasks in your checklist, the app guides you through a few preparatory steps:

1. Enter personal details
2. Provide tax-related information
3. Enter your tax ID number

Only then will the power of attorney appear. You can review and digitally sign it – it's required for our partner firm to start working on your tax return.

How do I sign the power of attorney?

Tap the field labeled "Tap to sign," sign using your finger or mouse, and confirm your signature. 

Then check the box to agree to the terms and conditions as well as the privacy policy.

💡 You can tap the “View power of attorney” button to read exactly what you're signing.

When you click “Continue”, you'll be taken to the payment summary screen: there, you'll enter your bank details, optionally enter a voucher code, and confirm your booking by giving your binding direct debit authorization.

💡 Don’t forget to confirm your email address – it's the only way to proceed with your booking.

What happens after signing?

Once signed, our partner firm can begin preparing your tax return. Without the signed power of attorney, we cannot proceed.

What should I know about joint filing?

If you’re filing jointly, both partners must sign the power of attorney. The tax return can only be processed once both signatures are provided.
