You receive a statutory pension and are also employed? You can easily enter both in the Taxfix app. Important: Currently, we only support statutory pensions.

Which types of pensions can you enter with Taxfix?
With the Taxfix app, you can easily declare statutory pension income β for example, retirement pensions from the German Pension Insurance. These entries are made in the "Income" section.
Currently not supported:
- Private pension insurance
- Pensions and retirement benefits (e.g. for civil servants)

Entering pension and employment in self-filing mode
- In the "About you" section, indicate that you received salary/wages during the tax year.
- In the "Job" section, enter your income tax certificate and any deductible expenses.
- In the "Income" section, click on "Pension" and follow the question flow to enter your pension data.

Enter the information from your pension statement. This document contains all the relevant details for your tax return and is automatically sent to you by the pension provider.
π‘ If you use the pre-filled tax return, the pension information from the tax authorities can be filled in automatically.

- You will then be asked whether you want to apply the pensionerβs expense allowance of β¬102 β this entry is optional.

Afterwards, the app asks about other income. If you had a side job, occasional mediation, or rental of movable items, you can select it here.
Entering pension and employment in the Expert Service
- First select the appropriate tax year.
- Then start with the basic information in the "About you" section. There, select that you received both "salary/wages" and "pension". Multiple selections are possible β confirm your entries.
- Once youβve completed all questions in the "About you" section, the app automatically creates your personal task list β based on your entries.
- In this task list, youβll find all necessary tasks and can upload documents or answer questions:
- Under "Income tax certificate": upload your tax certificate
- Under "Pension": upload your pension statement
π‘ If youβre unsure where to upload a document, you can add it under "Additional documents (optional)" and leave a short note for the tax experts if needed. All uploaded information will then be submitted together.
βΉοΈ The Taxfix app currently only supports statutory pensions β e.g. retirement pensions from the German Pension Insurance. Private pension insurance cannot currently be entered.
