Where can I find the contact details of my tax office?

You can easily find your tax office's contact information either in the Taxfix app or online.

In the Taxfix App 📱

1. Log into your Taxfix account.
2. Select the tax year of your return.
3. Click on "Contact tax office" to reach your tax office by phone or email.

You can also download your submitted tax return as a PDF document by clicking on the button "View submitted PDF".

ℹ️ The note "Not for the tax office" simply indicates that the data was submitted electronically. You can still send this document to your tax office without any issues.

💡 If you don't see the button, possible reasons include:

• Which features appear depends on the processing status of your tax return. The "View submitted PDF" button, for example, only appears after the return has been submitted and the PDF has been generated.
• Ensure you're using the latest version of the Taxfix app.

Online 🌐

Use the Federal Central Tax Office tool to find your responsible tax office based on your address. There, you can also see email addresses, phone numbers, and office hours.

Notes on Payment After Submission

Why was the amount already debited even though I haven't received any money yet?

By completing the payment process, you authorize a SEPA direct debit mandate. The fee is debited 4 to 5 business days after submission – regardless of the processing status at the tax office. Your final tax result comes with your tax assessment notice.

Why did I have to pay twice?

This can happen if you submitted tax returns for different years or with multiple email addresses. Please check your accounts and contact our support team if you're unsure.
