How does the app work?
Instead of struggling through tax forms, you answer simple questions – like in an interview. The app might ask you:
- Where do you live?
- Did you have work-related expenses?
- Do you have children?
You don’t need any prior knowledge – Taxfix safely guides you through your tax return. You can also pause and continue later at any time.
ℹ️ The app is especially suitable for example for employees, civil servants, students or retirees. Self-employed individuals and people with foreign income are currently not supported.

What happens after you answer the questions?
In the background, the app automatically generates your tax forms. It also immediately shows your estimated refund. Before submission, you can review everything. If all looks good, you send your return electronically to the tax office.

Do I need to upload documents?
The app tells you exactly which supporting documents may be relevant – for example, for extraordinary expenses or job-related costs.
In many cases, you don't need to submit any documents. It's enough to keep them in case the tax office asks later.
What happens with my return?
After submission, you’ll receive confirmation. Once your tax assessment is available from the tax office, we’ll notify you via email or in the app. If you have questions, our support team will help you.
How does the payment work?
Currently, SEPA direct debit is the only available payment method. You enter your IBAN directly in the app. SEPA is a secure and widely used payment system across Europe.
