π Quick & Easy
- The app automatically calculates your commuting costs based on the addresses you provide.
- Start by entering the street name and then select the correct address from the drop-down menu.
- You can manually adjust the automatically calculated distance.
- Multiple commuting routes (e.g., to your employer and clients) can be entered separately.

How does address entry work?
Start by entering the street of your workplace in the address field. As you type, a drop-down menu with suggestions will appear. Scroll through the list and select the correct address. The app will then automatically adopt this location.
Based on the selected addresses, Taxfix calculates the distance between your home and workplace. This distance is used to calculate the commuting allowance.
What if the address isn't found?
If your address doesn't appear in the drop-down menu, you can select a nearby address. The calculated distance will still be shown β and you can adjust it in the next step.
How can I change the distance?
Below the map, you'll see the automatically calculated route. You can manually adjust this value:
- Click on the kilometer field.
- Enter the correct number of kilometers.
-
Then click "Confirm" to save the value.
Where do you enter your commuting route?
To record your commuting routes, you must first indicate in the "About you" category that you were employed during the relevant tax year. This will automatically unlock the "Job" category.
In this category, you will first enter your job type, provide your employerβs details, and upload your income tax statement. After that, you will enter your travel details β in other words, your commuting route.
