As soon as you have requested the prefilled tax return in the Taxfix app, we send the application to the tax authorities. You will then usually receive your personal activation code (Freistellungscode) by post within one to two weeks.
In the case of a joint assessment, each partner will receive their own individual activation code in a separate letter from the tax office.
If you have not received the code within this period, it is possible that your data - such as your current address - is not correctly stored at the tax office.
In this case, simply contact your local tax office directly in order to check your personal data and have it corrected if necessary.
You will then need to apply for the code again in our app:
First open the account menu in the top right-hand corner of the Taxfix app and select "Prefill data" -> "Cancel prefill request". Finally, you can request a new activation code.
If you make a joint assessment with your partner, it is necessary to cancel the prefill data for both partners and request it again afterwards.
The new code will then be sent to you by post from the tax authorities within two weeks.
