How does the Expert Service work?
You answer some simple questions in the Taxfix app. Based on your responses, a personalized task list is created. It shows you exactly which documents to upload.
Once everything is complete, the tax advisor starts preparing your return. When itβs ready, you receive it for final review and approval. Only after your confirmation will it be submitted to the tax office.
β οΈ Important: Be sure to confirm your completed return in the app on time so it can be submitted to the tax office as quickly as possible.
What does the service cost?
The fee for the Expert Service is 20% of your refund, with a minimum of β¬99.99.
π‘ You only pay after your tax assessment has been issued by the tax office β or at the latest 150 days after your return was completed by the expert, whichever comes first.
π If you donβt receive a refund or have to make a payment, the minimum fee still applies β as the service was performed.

Who can use the Expert Service?
The service is generally available to all Taxfix users.

What documents are required?
The required documents depend on your personal situation. Your task list in the app will show exactly what is needed.

Do I need to sign a power of attorney?
Yes. To authorize the tax advisor to act on your behalf, you must digitally sign a power of attorney. This can be done directly and easily in the app.
Is identity verification required?
Yes. We and the tax advisors are legally required to verify your identity. Just upload a valid ID document in the app. More details here: How identity verification works
Can I switch between services?
Yes! Each tax year, you can choose between the Expert Service or filing your taxes yourself.
You can also switch during the process β as long as the return hasnβt been submitted yet. Learn how here: Switching between services
Can I make changes afterward?
Once you've submitted your information to the expert, you can no longer edit your tasks yourself.
However, you can still send additional documents or information to our support team via email or directly in the app. If your tax advisor has any questions, youβll be contacted via email β and you can reply directly. If anything is missing, the corresponding tasks will be unlocked again in the app.
When did you authorize the Expert Service?
The authorization date is the moment you entered all required information, completed identity verification and signed the power of attorney. You will then receive a confirmation email to your registered Taxfix address. Be sure to check your spam folder if you donβt see it.
